Yoga guru Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurved has partnered state-run telecom company BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) to offer SIM cards. Patanjali is offering SIM cards called ‘Swadeshi Samriddhi’. Patanjali and the Indian telecom company BSNL have joined hands together to come up with a totally Indian SIM card known as the ‘Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM Card’ popularly being called as the Patanjali SIM card. Patanjali has entered into a contract with BSNL to launch a completely nationalised SIM exclusively for the office bearers and members of Patanjali. These Patanjali SIM card offers great benefits to the users at minimal cost

Baba Ramdev also appreciated BSNL for coming forward and partnering with them. Talking about the medical and life insurance covers offered by the Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card, it’s Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 5 lakh respectively. The insurance covers can be availed only for road accidents. And users can pick up these SIM cards from the five lakh counters of BSNL when the service opens to the public.

Scribers who get hold of this SIM will be offered three prepaid plans priced at Rs. 144 (30 days), Rs. 792 (180 days) and Rs. 1,584 (365 days). All the plans offer unlimited voice calls and 2GB data per day. So far the SIMs only offer prepaid plans

After launching Patanjali-BSNL Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards recently, Yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali on Wednesday launched a new ‘desi’ messaging application to take on WhatsApp. Named as ‘Kimbho’, the app has been launched under Ramdev’s flagship company Patanjali

Kimbho app aims to take on WhatsApp, which has close to 250 million monthly active users in India. With the app now taken down from Play Store and App Store, it is unclear when it will make a comeback and whether it will be free to download

Patanjali launched the Kimbho app to take on WhatsApp, which is currently the most popular and most used messaging app in India. The problem is that it is not easy to take on WhatsApp. Elliot says that at least Kimbho can't do it. "Clearly no," he says. "Making a secure chat app is very complicated. It takes a lot of effort, money and talented engineers to make a secure app."

Wednesday, pitching it as a challenge to popular messaging app WhatsApp. The app was, however, taken down from Google Play Store after users raised data security concerns. Claiming it to be a "trial", the company said that it will be officially launched soon and is a "technical work in progress."

 Cyclone “Mekunu” hits coastal Karnataka, Mangalore and Udupi worst hit

Mangalore witnessed the highest ever rainfall of approximately 635 millimeters (25 in) in 24 hours on 29 May 2018.

 9 hours of downpour brings Mangaluru to its knees; Udupi sees widespread damage.The region also witnessed heavy rainfall which uprooted many trees and caused floods.

Within an hour after heavy downpour, low-lying areas started getting water-logged and it extended to other places which never witnessed any floods in the history.
